WRITER, OLYMPIC MEDALIST, AND ALL AROUND NICE GUY

Hi! Welcome. Let’s talk. Well, we can’t really talk because I’m just a static, overly posed picture. But at the very least, let me tell you what I’m working on because it might be of interest. In 2008, my three teammates and I did a cool thing: we won an Olympic silver medal in fencing. But despite blabbering to the media, I kept half of my story a secret. Since my teen years, I battled performance anxiety in sport and the bedroom. Now, at 36, I’m writing a memoir. You can read more about it below or take a look my recent article for Men’s Health.

A MEMOIR ON ITS WAY

Estimated time of publication — Early 2020

Jason Rogers is one of the best fencers in the world, but a troubling secret threatens to derail his dream of winning an Olympic medal: he can’t perform in bed. It is only after losing spectacularly in Athens and then recovering to win Silver in Beijing that he begins a painful and, occasionally, comical journey to find love and rebuild his sexual confidence.

As the mystery unravels, he discovers that the same problem that haunted his fencing is also at the root of his struggle in the bedroom. Jason’s story is at once a fascinating tale of redemption in one of the world’s least understood sports and a powerful coming-of-age saga that will resonate with any reader seeking to find self-acceptance in today’s hyper-competitive, sexually-driven world.
